Too Much and Too Little Snow [Sundae #160]

Hi ,I hope you had a great week , are enjoying a lovely Sunday, and staying healthy in the face of the global disease craze. I received several great replies last week, thank you for that! If you thought about it and didn't hit that reply button to give news, you can still do it this week!I was in a pretty reflective mood last week as you may have noticed, I'm a little less so today. I had a good week and fun times catching up with friends I hadn't seen in a long time. I recorded a podcast episode on Monday and then was out every night this week, including one board game night and one tabletop roleplaying night, which is very cool. Not tons to report, though I had a particularly interesting lunch catch-up with an old friend and previous boss of mine, who gave me some tough love feedback about the way I present myself and my experience as a brand strategist. After the fact I don't necessarily agree with everything I was told, but it was certainly good feedback, even if not necessarily pleasant. As a result I'm going back to studying some books about brand strategy and investing some more time in crafting my thoughts and reasoning about brand building, including what makes me different and worthwhile compared to others who do the same job.I badly want to go ski again, though as mentioned last week I need to keep focusing on work at the moment. I can still think about it and share some of the stories I'm reading about mountains, snow, and skiing. Thanks,Willem

Weekly Combo Two or three flavours, interesting separately, fascinating together
In terms of the contrast between stories, this week is really about the big difference in conditions between the American Rockies under large amounts of snow, and the lack of snow in France, where more resorts have had to either close entirely or take drastic measures to stay open.
