20200105 Sundae #155: Replaying past and future [Ice Cream Sundae]

Replaying past and future [Sundae on Monday #155]

Hi ,Happy new year to you! I wish roaring fun and success in whatever it is you're up to this year. Can you believe it's 2020 already? I know reminiscent posts and emails abound these days, but I can't help think about it, seeing as I've turned 40 years old 6 months ago, moved to a new city, and now when I refer to "the twenties" it's actually now rather than a hundred years ago!On the plus side, I've finally begun recording for my podcast again before Christmas, and just published a new episode after my months long moving to a new country hiatus. It's also a different format than the usual conversation. I am experimenting with this, and I would love to have thoughts, opinions and reviews about it.I'm expecting some people will enjoy this new format, while others won't. I recorded myself playing a solo letter-writing tabletop roleplaying game, and then added thoughts and comments while listening to the original recording. I definitely want to this kind of recorded play with others, but it can get complicated to coordinate schedules, so I went ahead and started by myself to try it out.Playing Quill, A Solo Letter-Writing Roleplaying GameI also recorded myself wandering around the Louvre Museum before Christmas, I'm getting to work on editing that one now, and might also publish in French as well as in English.I haven't gotten round to thinking of any specific plans or goals for this year, or a motto to aim and live by this year, something I've done before and enjoyed, rather than take on resolutions. I'll probably give it some thought later today and update you about it next week. How about you, did you take on any resolutions for 2020? How were your holidays? CheersWillem
