Like a different yet equally bewildering side of rich elite and Silicon Valley from the long read I sent last week about billionaires prepping for the apocalypse, these are the types that apparently enjoy being mindful of the Earth, talk about inspiring stories of differences need to be made in the world while in this case literally setting up shop on a brand new(ish) exclusive mountain resort. Totally worth a read. Puts a lot of things in question for me about what it actually means to do anything of service vs. just enjoying inspiration speeches as an additional activity to eating fancy food, skiing, partying, etc. Is it just to ease consciences and have a shot of feel-good..? Can't help but think it, even though many of the people involved in Powder Mountain and Summit events described may be doing things individually.
