How to find a wonderful idea | OK Go (TED Talk, 17 min video)I love the OK Go music videos, every one is expected for the visual wonder and experiments as much as the music (or more, arguably). I hadn't seen their TED talk yet, and they share how they work, plan and execute the kinds of ideas they have. They fascinatingly work from a frame, and build the ideas within. The video speaks for itself.The OK Go music videos in the talk are This Too Shall Pass (Rube-Goldberg Machine), The One Moment, and the OK Go Youtube Channel has all the others.The Book He Wasn't Supposed to Write (The Atlantic, 10 min read)I found a lot of similarities and differences in the way to approach developing a piece of creative work in this article describing a writer's process working with their editor in the background, and kind of thought it the opposite sort of story than the OK Go example: going ahead with an idea, planning based on the idea - and alone apparently, and then rebuilding it within a different entirely afterwards. I also wonder how much one has to do with teamwork first. Different ways of approaching creative endeavours and challenges.
