Best of the past week
Hi ,
Apologies for this edition being so late, I was having such a fun and fascinating time at workshop and then a conference for the past few days that this unfortunately slipped.I attended the Conference for Global Transformation and it was pretty awesome. It was my first time going and it's an annual event Landmark Worldwide organises with a different theme every year, and speakers come to share what they're up to in the world and the causes or projects they take on in a wide variety of fields. There were over 800 people attending from around the world, it was a brilliant event. There were many breakout sessions, presentations and written articles from people committed to projects as varied as ending hunger in the world (link to global non-profit The Hunger Project), to solving the worldwide refugee crisis, ending violence in prisons, increasing sustainable energy, stopping global warming, and many more.I walked out now considering what it is I'm up to, what kinds of projects I might give my time and energy to. I'm thinking of submitting a breakout session for next year's conference.I'll keep this edition short, with a few highlights from the conference and a couple more links I managed to gather.

One of the keynote speakers was Dr Amy Waterman, a social psychologist and professor at UCLA committed to solving the organ donor shortage in the US and in the world through a variety of programs. It was a fantastic and inspiring talk, including this video from last year when she was invited to speak at the White House for an Organ Summit, here is her moving speech:Dr Amy Waterman Presents to White House Organ Summit
